Wolfram Bettermann, M.S.E.E, Ph.D.
is President and founder of Bettermann Technology, Corp., located
in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, United States of America.
Dr. Bettermann grew up in Duesseldorf, Germany and received his Master of Electrical Engineering
from Technical University Duisburg, Germany in 1988. In 1993 he received his Ph.D. in Electrical
Engineering with magna cum laude from Technical University Aachen, Aachen, Germany. In 1998,
he moved to the United States and joined the Department of Medical Engineering/Department
of Dentistry at Wake Forest University Health Sciences, where he remained a Research Associate of
Engineering until 1999. In 2000 Dr. Bettermann accepted a position as a lead Senior Software Engineer at
Eastridge Technology, Inc., a Microsoft (R) certified solution provider located in Winston-Salem.
Dr. Bettermann has over a decade experience in software engineering development of projects in research
and industry. He is involved in the design and development of innovative software solutions (C, C++,
Java and Visual Basic using Windows NT) for the private industry & govermental organization, and for
over 5 years as a successful consulting business owner for innovative telecommunications and IT
solutions in Germany. In 2010, Dr. Bettermann joined the faculty in the School of Science and Engineering Department at the Penn State University, Captial College
where he spezialized in teaching physics and electrical engineering courses for undergraduate and graduate students.
Dr. Bettermann is now for several years a member of the most recognized organization for engineers in the world, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic
Engineers (IEEE), a non-profit, technical professional association of more than 400,000 individual members in approximately 160 countries, 45 percent of whom
are from outside the United States. Dr. Bettermann is also a member of the IEEE
Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society and a member of the IEEE Communications Society.
He has numerous publications and presentations in the field of Physics and Medical Engineering, you may
